Access: Take the Dunedin Causeway to Honeymoon Island State Park. Once inside, follow signs to the dog beach area on the south end.

Parking & Fees: $8 per vehicle for entry to the state park
Rules: This is an on-leash beach only. Dogs must be on a hand-held leash of six feet or less at all times, and owners must clean up after their pets. There is no off-leash access anywhere in the park, and the Pet Beach itself is a rare exception to the Florida state park rule that keeps dogs off beaches entirely

Safety note: Since April 2024, erosion has separated the northernmost mile of the sandspit from the main island. The park warns visitors not to enter the water there because of deep water and strong currents.
